What do you do when you stall with the HCG Diet?
First of all, as recommended for ANY diet/exercise program; you should have a log, including the hcg injection diet. How you feel, how your exercise is going today, is in part based on what you did and ate yesterday. If you have a log notating where you’ve been, you can successfully get to where you need to go. The log is a reference, you’ve got to see how you are eating and the patterns in your eating. It’s important to know if you are getting adequate water during each day, a minimum of 2 liters a day is recommended.
Another factor, for women, is it time for your cycle? Stalls can come before and during a menstrual cycle and ovulation. Menstrual cycles tend to increase water retention and it will show up when you hop on the scale. Have you checked your measurements lately? You may have stalled on a scale and still lost inches in measurement.
What’s going on with your seasoning? Have you switched from salts to powders yet? Remember, too much sodium can lead to retention of fluids. Try to pay attention to that as well. I use garlic and onion powders often, however, a pinch will do you. Don’t get carried away with seasoning, they contain calories too. They are great flavor enhancers, though, without adding sodium.
Food sensitivities can also change your progress. (According to HCG Protocol) Other than those things, remember to monitor your stress levels. Get up and get some exercise to reduce stress. Take walks and practice deep gut breathing to calm down your stress as well. Keep calm; Log your sleep hours, food intake, water intake and your exercise in a book so you have something tangible to look back on. You will be able to see if you missed something in the day. With this it also helps you to be more accountable to what you are doing. Get back on track and tough this set-back out, it truly is minor AND fixable. You Can Do It!!!!!!
